Healthcare Technologies Knowledge Transfer Network
The Health Technologies Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) is a DTI sponsored initiative to help accelerate the exploitation of the UK's knowledge base in the MedTech sector. Our goal is to represent the health technology community in communicating strategic needs to government organisations and to help develop new partnerships that can stimulate new innovations and exploitation that help the UK economy and help deliver improved quality of life. This has led to the development of a growing membership base comprising industry, academia and the clinical base and the organisation of various events to facilitate networking, roadmapping and knowledge transfer between businesses and between business and the science base.
The KTN has an active portal which provides information on the latest news, funding opportunities, events and links to other relevant organisations. It also has a suite of state-of-the-art communication tools which are freely available to members and allow on-line conferencing (Interwise) and data share (Collaboration space).
The KTN has expertise across the health technology sector, working as a consortium of TWI, Medilink UK, BITE CIC, M4 Technologies and the Universities of Cambridge, Nottingham, Leeds, Queen Mary, Sheffield and Strathclyde.
