Experiences, benefits and challenges of using telemedicine and mobile systems in healthcare applications

The pervasiveness of mobile phones, PDAs, mobile networks and the need to decrease healthcare costs is creating a new market of telehealthcare and telemedicine applications.

This will be an interactive discussion group for medical practitioners, researchers or professionals in general who would like to talk and share experiences or ideas about their products, services, innovations or techniques in this field.

We will explore benefits of using this system and also challenges to overcome in the near future. Additionally, we will share thoughts about what should be the role of patients, practitioners, researchers and technologists to improve medical services and to encourage personal health management, making the most of this growing technology.
