Medical Electronics
Connected healthcare and digitisation brings tremendous opportunities for the electronics industry. Whether its remote monitoring and wireless technologies, interoperability with diagnostic tools or embedded-computing technology, high-power, miniaturised and high-reliability electronics are increasingly needed to support innovations from the medical device manufacturers.
However, medical electronics brings with it a variety of challenges for the electronics designer, including regulatory issues, the ongoing push for miniaturisation, and the increasing 'consumerisation' of medical devices. Collaboration and partnership working are essential for success.
The Medical Innovation Forum provides a valuable opportunity for electronics engineers to discuss ideas for new devices with researchers and clinicians and also explore collaboration opportunities with medical device OEMs, their supply chain partners.
