Orthopaedics

An ageing population fuels growth in the orthopaedic devices market and creates investor interest in new innovations.

The annual Medical Innovation Forum provides a valuable opportunity for orthopaedic device manufacturers and their supply chain partners to meet-up with another to explore collaboration opportunities, better understand the R&D landscape and gain an insight on likely future clinical requirements.

The pre-arranged meetings service enables participants to identify potential partner organisations for: enhancing orthopaedic manufacturing processes, managing clinical trials; and reviewing innovative materials and processes.

A programme of roundtable discussion groups are being staged so as to bring together participants who share common interests.

Discussion Groups include:

Orthopaedic Trauma
Professor Peter Ogrodnik, Prof of Engineering Design, Staffordshire University and Managing Director, Intelligent Orthopaedics Ltd

Orthopaedic Bio Materials
Mansour Youseffi, Director of Studies for Medical & Healthcare Technology, Medical Engineering, University of Bradford

Assistive Devices and Systems for Orthopaedic Surgery
Kaddour Bouazza-Marouf, Loughborough University

Artificial Joint Replacement
Hossein Saidpour, University of East London
