Regenerative Medicine
The Medical Innovation Forum provides networking environment to facilitate technology transfer in regenerative medicine and enables participants to gain a better understanding of clinical needs. It brings together those involved in medical engineering, materials science, cell therapy, tissue engineering, regenerative drugs and medical devices.
A programme of roundtable discussion groups are being staged so as to bring together participants who share common interests.
Discussion Groups include:
Can
Tissue Engineering be an Alternative to Animal Experimentation?
Dr Gwen Reilly, Lecturer - Tissue Engineering and Dr John Haycock - Reader
in Bioengineering, Department of Engineering Materials, University of Sheffield
Development
of small diameter bypasses graft, for coronary, vascular & renal application.
Choice of materials, and evaluation from lab to clinical trial
Professor Alexander M. Seifalian, Professor of Nanotechnology & Regenerative
Medicine UCL Division of Surgery & Interventional Science, University College
London
Stem
Cell Engineering
Nicholas Forsyth, Lecturer - Stem Cell Biology, Keele University
